New Feature: Organization Hierarchy Lineaje platform, for all products, now supports multiple, hierarchical organizations in a large software factory with each managing their own projects. Hierarchy determines rollup of information and visibility.
Organizations also enable separation of software you build, software you source, software you buy, and software you sell enabling organizations to manage them differently from each other.
New Feature: Functions Modern software development requires that multiple functions collaborate in software management. Appdev, DevSecOps, legal, GRC, Open-source office, procurement etc. can now have their own policies and apply them at appropriate “gates” in software development process. They can easily cascade their policies in each organization they support.
New Feature: Stages Stages maps to the step of SDLC where the project is generated – As sourced, As Built, As Deployed, As Shipped. Stage is associated with a Gate and hence a set of policies. Any finding (policy violation) can now be analyzed based on the stage.
New Feature: Gates Gates enables users to define “assessment points” in the SDLC. Gates apply policy control to the software development process ensuring that all organizations meet the policy requirements of their organization. Policies are tied to functions at each gate so each function is alerted of policy violations while remediation is driven by org owners.
New feature: Software Management Dashboard A comprehensive view of your application real estate at your fingertips. Designed for CPOs, CISOs, CIOs and their management teams – users can view the aggregation of projects for the entire company or for a particular organization, with a timeline view. Understand the components and projects that are not meeting expectations while others exceed them. Manage your risks and drive activities from your central dashboard against all projects and linked execution plans.
New feature: Git and OCI Registry Integrations You can now integrate your source code from any generic git source code management system and generate projects in Lineaje. This includes Azure Repos. You can generate projects for public as well as your private source repos. Similarly, you can now integrate with any generic OCI compatible registry and generate projects in Lineaje. This includes Azure Container Registry. You can generate projects for public as well as your private registry.
New feature: Search as Policy Lineaje platform enables you to do sophisticated searches in English. Now, you can save search as policies and apply them to organizations, functions, and gates. This is a powerful way of creating policies that is tailor made for your company. For e.g. you could search for components with banned licenses and make it as a policy, you could search for components with critical or high vulnerabilities and make it as a policy.
New feature: Findings with Severity Users can define severity levels for each finding against their policies. This severity is reflected in the findings (policy violations). This is a great way to prioritize the findings to assign it for remediation.
New feature: Enhanced User Management Users can now be tied to organizations. The tenant admin can control which user has access to which organization. This in turn determines which user has access to which project. In a large organization having multiple teams, generally view/edit operations on a project becomes extremely important. Since the organizations support hierarchy, a user in the root (node) organization tree will have visibility to all projects under the tree.
New feature: Task Assignment Creating gates/policies or setting up credentials for integrations are special one time tasks and need specific functions (user role). A tenant admin setting up the entire tenant or an org admin in-charge of a particular org may not have the necessary details. Task assignment, during onboarding, is a way where tenant admin or org admin can assign tasks to the right functions. This way, when those functions onboard, they will get a list of assigned tasks that they can work on.
